A few guidelines on comments. This is a WordPress blog that supports comments but they do run through a moderation process that can take some time. (picture ∞) 😀 I can’t always get around to approve the comments and have to check them all and website links for prohibited content. Please don’t feel disappointed if your comment doesn’t show up, there are many positive postings but I tend to only select posts that add additional on topic material that maybe of more interest to the readers.
This is a form of censorship I think we all should be used to by now. Right or wrong it is something that needs to be done in order to play the game. I myself would rather just let everyone post whatever they felt like but because of the nature of the Internet and the requirement to increase website popularity to generate revenue, lots of irrelevant Spam tends to collect.
My hope is that someday good content will be paid for not just by the main street popularity of the content or its generic wide audience appeal but also for the new ideas or potential benefits. In a way advertising tends to make us all very generic in nature. It limits our creative expression whether we realize it or not.
Changing the very basics of our payment structure to allow niche content producers to prosper as well the popular ones can help get very needed dollars flowing back into the main street economy where they can do some good. After all the very popular people very likely have enough wealth so that they don’t need to generate more from a personal blog site. Not all of us can paint a master work, write a major novel or provide great blog content but we all need to eat. Seldom are great creative efforts even recognized during the lifetime of the artist and I feel this is unfortunate.
Adversing revenue is very fundamental in generating opportunities, business and jobs but just think about what a world without it would be like. No five o’clock dinnertime calls pitching new products, no wasted junk mail, no endless email Spam, billboards, program interruptions, etc…
But alas for now all your comments have to be filtered through my rated G sensibilities. 😉
